Recovery

I’ve started testing out some of the new ammunition offerings from Hornady: Steel Match and Zombie Max.

So far, I’ve been very pleased with both of them. No failures of any kind.

I was able to recover a few bullets from the backstop. The Zombie Max bullet I recovered opened up beautifully, however the one Steel Match bullet recovered retained much of its original shape.

    If I’m not mistaken the steel match bullet was designed not to expand by eliminating the expanding grooves cut in to reduce the cost (in addition to replacing the brass with steel). Let me know if I am off base on this

    As Adam stated the match bullet’s objective is accuracy and is a hollow-point to reduce ricochet on steel targets.

    The Zombie round is impressive and looks like it would feed well.
