U.S. Marine Sgt. Paul Boothroyd III

Struck in the head by a sniper round. The bullet pierces his Kevlar helmet, slams into his neck, lodges itself above and behind his right ear, and knocks him facedown in the mud. Fifteen minutes later, this smiling Marine is having a smoke and giving the thumbs up.
