Cell Phones For Soldiers
Just wanted to bring some light to a program I contribute to. Whenever I get a new phone (not very often), I donate the old phone to the Cell Phones For Soldiers program. Every phone donated enables a soldier to have a prepaid calling card worth one hour of talk time. Turns out that the program was founded by a couple of teenage siblings, with $21 of their own money. Since its inception, they have raised nearly $2,000,000 in donations and distributed more than 500,000 phone cards to soldiers in the field.
