Craft Holsters Glock 19-Gen4 Open-Muzzle IWB Holster Review

Some information from the manufacturer (note that the specifics below are for the model tested, many other models available from manufacturer):
The holster is designed to be carried outside the waistband, either inside or outside the waistband. The reinforced opening allows easy draw and fast re-holstering. The widely spread belt loops with press-studs, make this model very stable. The holster can be put on or removed without taking the belt off. An adjustable tension screw provides the additional security.

Customization option: The holster is designed for a 1.5” belt. If you wish to have it made for a different belt size please specify it in the details.

Double Stitched And Reinforced
The hoster does not ride high on the belt and is double stitched on key points of stress. When worn inside the pants it copies the contours of the body and does not print. The reinforced opening enables easy reholstering. The holster is curved and treated on the edges for a better fit and longer lasting time. You can use this holster either way and it wont let you down.

Position For A Perfect Draw
The holster is best carried IWB, it features two wide spread belt press studs, which enable a steady draw and a quick put on time at the same time. You don’t have to manipulate with your belt in order to put the holster on properly. The forward cant enables an easier draw and the reinforced opening allows easy reholstering. The holster’s retention can be adjusted via a tension screw any time.

Perfect Fit Acheived
The holster has been wet-molded during it’s weeks of production directly to a specific gun model. This method allows the holster to accommodate only one weapon properly and safe. The weapon fits like a glove inside the holster and the holster itself is fixed to the belt via belt loops with press-studs, these allow easy manipulation while putting on the holster and are widespread to allow a close ride to the body.

The Leather That Lasts A Lifetime
The holster has all the attributes thanks to a genuine cowhide leather. It has a thickness of 7 oz. The shape is retained thanks wet-molding. Our craftsmen use vegetable oils that are applied repeatedly to ensure all layers of leather are treated. The dying process then follows the treatment process, the leather is hand-dyed in natural colors layer by layer. The last step of the process is adding a shellac layer to prolong the lifespan of the holster.

Pistols And Revolvers
We tested the holster for both pistols and revolvers. The pistol fits without any problems as usual and seen on the pictures as well as the revolver. Both types of handguns are securely accommodated.

Tip: As leather is a natural material, quality leather products may require a break-in, either of the holster or the strap. Please read how to break-in and care for your leather holster for a perfect gun fit.

My thoughts:
I had the privilege to test the Open-Muzzle IWB model, one of many holsters available for the Glock 19 Gen 4. For more Glock 19 holster options, see this round up comparison guide by Survivalmag.

As tested, this holster retails for $64.95, which I feel is a very reasonable price point for the product.

This holster is a bit different than the kydex holsters tested recently, with a traditional leather material. It’s a completely different experience than kydex. Not so much in function, but definitely in form. The holster reviewed met all criteria that any good holster should achieve to meet. I would not hesitate to recommend the use of the Craft Holsters Open Muzzle IWB.

Recommendation:
Looking for something that will secure your firearm and look great? This holster will take care of you.
