The View, Where Hosts Are Renowned Constitutional Scholars

Monday on ABC’s “The View,” while commenting the Orlando mass shooting that killed 50 people, co-host Whoopi Goldberg railed against the Second Amendment of the Constitution arguing the Constitution doesn’t “say you can carry hundreds of guns.”

Goldberg said, “It’s about a lot of different things, you know. It’s about an amendment in the Constitution that people misread. The Constitution doesn’t say you can carry hundreds of guns. It says you can protect your home. It says you can protect yourself. It doesn’t say get 55 guns — or military style —you know, people say, well, we need to have our guns because we can go shoot — you can’t hunt anything with an assault rifle. There’s nothing left after you can’t do it. you — it’s gone and not for nothing, all you people on Twitter that like to come after folks, back up, because you can’t explain this. You can’t explain this away. You couldn’t explain it in Sandy Hook. You can’t explain it here. There’s no reason for anybody to have a machine gun basically to do that — I’m sorry. So keep your stuff to yourself. I don’t care what you think. Back off me, I don’t care.”

It doesn’t take an assault type rifle to kill a lot of people at one time. This type of thinking just shows the lack of thought on just how this type of carnage can be accomplished without an assault rifle. I can think of multiple ways to kill without one. Anyone that is narrow minded enough to think it takes an assault rifle to kill this magnitude of people has never sat and thought of the endless number of ways it can be accomplished. I am no killer but I am capable of seeing the endless possibilities…….

The terrorists that flew into the towers in New York had box cutters. It’s no ones business if I want a machine gun. I’m a law abiding citizen. Fast and furious gave Machine guns to the drug cartels. That was from our own government.

Unfortunately, Whoopie is willfully ignorant about a lot of things. (I say that because she herself says she doesn’t want to be told where she’s wrong.)
Someone who refuses to even consider the possibility that they are wrong, thus ruling out the possibility of learning what’s right, just proves how ignorant they are (but, hey, I could be wrong here).
If we refuse to recognize (as Whoopie does) that these terrorist acts are done because the culprit’s religion says not just that they CAN do it, but that they MUST do it, then, yes, it can’t be explained. Just like if you refuse to understand aerodynamic lift, then an airplane can’t be explained, either.
To insist that somehow the tool used is the guilty party is absurd, but leftists are so inculcated with absurdities that another just doesn’t register.

    What’s my solution?
As things stand, I don’t see one. The left controls public schools, which controls what our children are taught.

Willful ignorance, more than any single other thing, is what will bring America down, IMO.

If that mudslime would have waited till the patrons of the bar started flooding out in groups after it closed and then ran them over with his car, would we be discussing how we licence people to drive? I think not, because it’s the person , not the tool that delivers the evil.

She is unable to even reprint what the constitution says but claims we are the ones who misunderstand it. Hey Whoopi, how do you get self defense and home protection from “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”? You are so right when you say the 2nd Amendment is misread. You prove it. You prove people like you misread it.
