I think all people who want to make such statements should be taken to task immediately to explain exactly how they think this would work here.
House-to-house searches? Immediate execution for anyone caught with a gun?
Since a large proportion of gun deaths is from suicide, they should be able to compare the suicide rate in Japan (with extreme gun laws) with ours, and explain why theirs is higher with no guns to speak of.
What is it about entertainers that makes them think their pronouncements carry more weight than mine?
