SureStrike Laser Training Bullet

I’ve had the opportunity to test out a dry fire training system over the last few months, the SureStrike Laser Training Bullet manufactured by Laser Ammo.

The SureStrike Laser Training Bullet is intended to enhance dry fire exercises. The SureStrike Laser Training Bullet not only performs the same function as a snap cap, but vastly exceeds the capability of snap caps.

Simply insert the SureStrike Laser Training Bullet into the chamber, lock down the safety pipe and safety nut, and you’ve transformed your firearm into a laser emitting dry fire trainer. The safety pipe and nut secure the SureStrike Laser Training Bullet into the bore, completely eliminating the possibility of loading of live ammunition.

As the trigger is pulled, the firing pin strikes the rear of the SureStrike Laser Training Bullet, activating a brief laser pulse to show the simulated point of impact where a bullet would have struck. The immediate feedback from the laser pulse will help diagnose are any errors with sight picture or trigger pull.

Included with the SureStrike Laser Training Bullet are 12:1 scale reflective targets, which illuminate very brightly when hit with the laser pulse.

The SureStrike Laser Training Bullet is sized for 9mm cartridge, with adapters to fit .40S&W and .45ACP pistol calibers in addition to 12, 16, and 20 gauge shotguns. A .38 caliber adapter will be released in the near future.

I have personally tested the SureStrike Laser Training Bullet in a variety of 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP handguns, ranging from full size to intermediate to pocket pistol. The SureStrike Laser Training Bullet has performed flawlessly in every single instance.

Every once in a while, a product comes along that makes you wonder how you ever got along without it. Something that you feel to be an essential, must have item. The SureStrike Laser Training Bullet is one such product. I cannot say enough good things about it. I firmly believe that every single gun owner should have the SureStrike Laser Training Bullet.

  3. I ordered the SureStrike Laser Training Bullet about a year ago & it soon
failed to work. The back cap (switch) failed. I informed the company
(Zahal) & after much delay (several months) received another back
cap which failed after about 100 shots (as did the previous back cap).
Another one was sent to me & it also failed in a short period of time.
The product is expensive JUNK. Customer service is POOR.

I finally ordered something that actually worked , a LaserLyte Cartridge
    LT-45.

  4. Never Laser Train without Realistic Blow Back or Recoil
Many popular laser handgun trainers don’t have the recoil. That leads to a false sense of accuracy on second or third shots. You just don’t develop the muscles or the grip to stay accurate. Laser adapted firearms are not the same as CO2 enhanced trainers. You need the recoil to develop the muscles and accuracy. Without the blowback it just isn’t a complete training experience. You need to consider a full featured laser trainer like the BFR Laser Handgun Trainers that are specifically engineered to provide the full training experience as close to live ammo training as you can get. http://www.blrmachining.com/BFRLaserTrainer.html
