Around the NPSC: Laser Shot LE Training Systems

I’ve never had the opportunity to use one of these systems. Well, I take that back. I saw a setup like this, may have even been the Laser Shot system at the Defcon hacking conference back in August. The only reason I didn’t try it out was because it was used as a fundraiser for some group, and they wanted $20 for something like 60 seconds of playtime — you got to pick your firearm from either a 1911 style pistol or a rifle. Didn’t seem worth the expense to me.

I am a big proponent of dry fire practice, and believe that laser dot feedback is a great help in dry firing. I have had a LaserLyte LT-Pro and have seen an improvement in my practice with the laser light.
